Point Defiance Zoo and Sleepover!

Steph and I decided to take our kiddos to Point Defiance Zoo. Even though this zoo is relatively small, we stayed for quite awhile and had a fabulous time.

It was a little chilly and we forgot a jacket for Audra, so she got to carry a blanket around with her to try and stay warm.

One would think after five hours of walking around a zoo the girls would be tired and go to bed nicely. That was not the case. They just wanted to PARTY at the sleepover at Steph's house! But, they had a blast watching The Secret Life of Pets, eating homemade cookies, and being silly. These cousins sure do love each other!

It was a fabulous, and exhausting, day!

This Is My DREAM Park!

Today we went with my dearest friend up to the Pacific Science Center. I haven't been there since Audra was a toddler and could play in the toddler area.

Because it was Seattle and because Seattle traffic is the 6th worst traffic in the country, I made plans to stay there the whole day and come home late, well after rush hour. The plans worked perfectly- we had such a fabulous day!

We started out at a building area where there were lots of building toys. I think we could have spent all day here.

Next stop: Butterflies!

Can you find the butterfly?

The fountains came on! SO MUCH FUN!!!!

Then we walked over to this park, and Audra immediately said: "This my DREAM park!" It has all kinds of climbing, huge slides, and rope bridges. It's more like a tree house, just built out of metal instead of trees. The kids loved it!

 And, a classic Seattle shot:

A simply amazing and wonderful day- thank you for suggesting the Science Center, Danielle!

Dash Point

One of our favorite places on earth- and just down the street from my parents house. Oh, how I miss the ocean!

I'm a sucker for beach pictures! The tide was super low- look at all that seaweed.

Alicia was buried, so then Camille wanted to be buried. Unfortunately, I wasn't watching, so she got buried fully clothed. She loved it.

KidFest

Stephanie invited us to go to KidFest with she and her kids. It was very hot, but the kids had a blast! Face painting, bouncy houses, rock climbing, a spray park and more- what could be more fun?

Camille finally got to rock climb! She has watched her older sisters do it for so long, and now she got to participate. She was super cute- she would climb about half way up and then turn her head and calmly and matter of factly say, "I want to come down." It was really cute.

There was an indoor and air conditioned area for kids 5 and under. It was not at all crowded- in fact, the bouncy houses were completely empty. Bridger and Camille loved it, and I did as well because I got to be out of the heat for a bit.
