Claire had another great season, and once again was the leading scorer, for the Dynamos this year. She really loves this team and playing soccer!

TRXC
Claire has been having a blast with Cross Country. She's made good friends and it has been a great way for her to channel her energy. She loves being part of a team, and she does very well with it.
See if you can see her in this sea of people. This is what it's like being a cross country parent- trying to pick out your child in a sea of hundreds of kids. Thankfully, Claire has bright orange shoes and a distinguishable gait so we can sometimes find her.

Grizzly 2 Mile
Claire and I ran the Grizzly Run! Now that she's in Cross Country I guess is the type of thing we do now.

Basketball
Camille and her friend Ivy played YMCA basketball. They had really great coaches who ran fantastic practices. They really improved over the course of the season! It was kind of a hard season in that they only won 2 games, but their improvement was remarkable.

Rainy Soccer
It was cold, but both Claire and Camille's teams won (and Claire scored two goals!). Plus I got this cute picture of Camille and her bestie!

YMCA Volleyball
After signing them up, I got a phone call from the YMCA. Audra's team needed a coach, and they were literally going down the list of parents to find someone to coach. I have coached before, and I do at least show up and try to be a decent coach, so I said yes. But, because Claire is also playing and I knew I needed to get her to her practice as well, I said, "when is Claire's practice time?" He said, "Oh, actually- I'm looking for a coach for her team as well."
So, I somehow ended up coaching both teams.
That meant I got to pick our practice times, so it was nice that I was able to have back to back practices, so only our Thursday nights were eaten up by volleyball instead of needing to be at volleyball for two nights. So, that was nice.
Today was our last games! Phew- we made it!
I actually had a lot of fun coaching. I may do it next year as well. It is really, really nice when the team can have continuity and keep the same coach. Those teams do much, much better than the rag tag teams assembled, which is what both of the teams were this year.
Here's Claire's team: The Warriors. They had a great season- they won about half their games. Most of them had never played before, so winning at all is pretty impressive. Claire really loved serving, but she also became a bumping machine.
And, Audra's team: The Llama Beans. I have no idea how they came up with that name, but they did. They won a couple of games, but really they were the casualty of being a hodge podge team who had never played together before. There were teams that had played together for years. The Llama Beans were easily the youngest team in our league- lots of players who had never played before, or had very little experience. Other teams were doing jump serves, and we struggled with the underhand serve at the beginning of the season. But, by the end of the season, they had truly improved. Audra is even now doing an overhand serve consistently, which was her main goal. So, it was a fun season.

Soccer!
Soccer has taken over our lives. All three girls are playing soccer, which is just about killing me. But, they are all loving playing. Camille is so excited to be on her team. She is playing a year up because she needs to be on Ivy's team. Really, it is all about playing with her friends, which is what it should be at age 6.
Claire is out here somewhere:
Here is Audra. She is on yet another new team, but she is having a great time and really enjoys the girls on her team.
Here's Camille playing goalie. She liked it because she didn't have to run:
Claire's game was about the coldest experience of our lives. Fall is definitely here!
But, how can you not enjoy watching this bundle of cuteness???
