My mom had a box of items from my grandparents since their deaths, so she and dad swung down to Bear Lake from Blackfoot to drop it off.
Everybody else was headed home, so my parents came to spend the afternoon and spend the night before we headed out.
My dad had never been to Bear Lake, so we headed to the lake for one last time. On a Sunday, it wasn't busy. We were grateful!
Back at the house, the girls loved having both sets of grandparents around.
We went through the box of my inheritance. I don't get to keep these glasses, but my mom showed us the glasses that my great-great-great Grandmother wore. She was a mid-wife. My grandma High looks just like her. The prescriptions for the glasses are so bad that the girls couldn't have their eyes open while wearing them.
Claire was super excited about this bug she found.
And now, we gear up for the drive home. It has been another incredible vacation with loved ones! We are so blessed to have such a wonderful family.

Day 3: Relaxation!
After two days at the beach, we are all ready for a day that is more relaxing. It's a bonus that our third day fell on a Saturday, as that is always the busiest day at the beach.
We slept in, then I made everybody some pancakes. We watched the kids put on a play in the morning, and then after lunch we went to the pool. It was so nice to have a day where we didn't have to rush to the lake to be sure and get a spot!

Cousins, Cousins, Cousins
By far the BEST part of Bear Lake is being able to spend quality time with cousins! We played Guesstures, I won at our game of croquet, and there were plays, puzzles, and a magic show. Oh, and s'mores and lots of other foods.

The Lake: Day 2
Day 2 was another great day! The beach was definitely more busy than yesterday, and we were all a bit more sunburned and much more tired. But, it was still a wonderful success. It is so great how well the kids play together- they really are just so much FUN! Audra was a fish going out deep in the water and swimming like a dolphin all day. Camille loved the canoe once again, and Claire played with the boogie board and kept the water running into the hot tub they made. It truly was a wonderful day- Bear Lake never disappoints!

I LOVE Bear Lake!
Traveling with older kids is so much fun! We are really at a point where the girls travel well- even on road trips.
Ben got out of going to Bear Lake this year, but I am so grateful that I get along so well and have such wonderful in-laws. I always feel very welcome with Ben's family, and they are always gracious hosts to out little family.
Bear Lake is something the girls and I look forward to all year. We left bright and early, and made great time. We only stopped once at Little America and only for a few minutes, and then we booked it to our final destination. Armed with books on tape, Playaways (books they can listen to with their headphones), Podcasts, and movies- we made it without a hitch.
Here the girls are, ready to go!
And, Day 1 at the beach:
Camille takes after her Daddy. She commandeered the canoe and refused to let go:
And, of course, we had to go to LeBeau's:
