Happy Thanksgiving!

This year I was in charge of cooking Thanksgiving dinner. I think it went really well. Even the turkey turned out- which I was concerned about.

I tried some new recipes and did without some High Family Staples. No pink salad or celery and cheese whiz.

We were a small crowd, but that was just fine. We had a great time. Audra said, "mom, this is a great feast."

 Yes, the skin did burn a little bit. But, the inside was moist and delicious. I brined it in an apple cider bath and it worked real well.

Life is good. We have been very blessed, and I love that Thanksgiving gives me a chance to remember that.
