Covid Questions

I asked my friends on Facebook some Covid Questions. Here's their answers:

Covid question #2: What would you tell your pre-Covid (think recent pre Covid- December, January, February- not, like, 3 years ago) self?

Valerie Ilguth: Be ready to let things go and be flexible this year. It's okay that you don't plan to be in the ward choir after January (choir is getting cancelled.) It's good that you aren't planning a big trip for Spring break (that would be cancelled too.) The June family vacation will still happen, but nearly everything will be rearranged so be flexible. Keep watching all those garden YouTube videos you're going to have plenty of time to garden this year. Oh and Its probably time to get a Roku. That thing will save your life.

Buy the hot tub 🤣🤣 but really, I actually feel very fortunate that we lived it up big time in 2019. We spent 100+ days traveling and I saw my 90yo Grandma and my entire extended family over the holidays so I wouldn’t do much else. Maybe I would go to the children’s museum one last time because it freaked me out precovid re: germs so I don’t think I’ll ever go back!!!

Jeannette Hut Howell

Hmmmm... maybe that with all the losses in having our social scaffolding removed, and being at home so much, that I would gain strength in family relationships, and seek God's beauty in nature.

Hillary Gubler Osness

Start homeschooling in March. Don't wait until August.

Elisa Ridley Greene

Appreciate what you have.

Joy Arico

Get out every chance you can. Soon you will be making permanent butt marks on your couch.

Kimberly Jensen

Give all the hugs you can!

Ben Soelberg

Buy a bunch of stocks in March.

Angie Gleed Adam

It’s going to be okay. Be gentle with yourself, and with everyone else. ❤️

Katrina Bradley

Call your grandmother.

Jenny Fischer

Buy an RV now.

Heather Tudhope

My Mom passed away Christmas night. When my sister asked should we have a memorial right away or wait and have it in the spring I wish I had said right away. The goal was June but now who knows when we’ll be able to have it now. Canada is smart and their numbers are way down so they’ve closed the borders.

I would have also taken a Hawaiian vacation in January... of course that could have ended in Covid so maybe not.

Joanne Markowski Donohue

Buy stock in Clorox.

Melanie Eaton

Buy stock in zoom, buy lots of toilet paper, find patience now for homeschooling, enjoy the time at home, enjoy Disneyland and the movie theater because they will close for a long time!

Danielle Anderson

"It's going to be okay. You will be able to handle it. Your kids will be fine."

Bryn Brody

I’d give myself a list of people to unfollow before I found out just how bad they are.

Kristine Rentzel

I would tell myself to take a long international trip in January for my birthday. Just have a real good adventure. Probably hint at a few extra Clorox wipes from the store too.

Lisa L Schreiber

Hurry and go to Disneyland! Now it’s either closed or you have to wear a mask.

Kristin Rasmussen

Keep well stocked on all essentials.

Kimberly Burnham

I would have told myself that my 2020 goal would be to let go of the schedules and expectations... go with the flow and have fun! Roll with the punches!

Fabio Melendez

Stay longer @ Costa Rica with your family, you won't see them for over a year.

Torie Brown Hunt

“Everything will be all right in the end. So if it is not all right, it is not yet the end.”

Jessica Bauer Autrey

To serve as much as possible, hug people, and spread kindness.

Go do the things you don’t feel like doing and think you can do another time. Appreciate all of the outings to movies, museums, etc. and the ability to visit and see people.

Ken Hale
Load up on toilet paper? 😁🤣
