Birthday week continues as Audra turns 17! I can't believe it. 17 really does sound old!
It wasn't a super exciting day as we had grad parties to go to, but she and Austin went and played mini-golf which she was excited about and then they came back home for cake and ice-cream. Very low-key, which kind-of fits her personality.
At 17, here's a glimpse of Audra:
-Favorite color is still purple
-She works incredibly hard to keep her straight A's
-Trumpet, trumpet, trumpet
-Piano, piano, piano
-She enjoys working at the day care (where she is mostly with the 2-3 year olds, but she catches every single cold that the kids have. She is constantly sick!
-She can now drive the stick shift perfectly- she's a beast in her little Honda Fit
-Her room is always spotless and perfectly organized
-She's gorgeous. Absolutely stunning.
-She is the first counselor in her YW class
-She is very glad to have dropped out of drama- she is so done with the drama drama! That class brought her way too much stress, and zero happiness. It was a good call to drop out.
-She can't decided on a favorite food, but she says she likes pasta
-Chocolate!
-She still gets was too stressed over everything and needs to learn to see the bright side of life. She tends to only see the negatives and dwell on that
-She's incredibly good at math, but it does require effort. Ben helps her almost night, but her teacher loves and respects her effort- even calling Audra her "Bell weather." If Audra gets something wrong on a test, the teacher knows she didn't teach it because Audra comes in and meets with her before school, so if she struggles, she knows she didn't teach it well.
-Her best friend is still Jayson. She still doesn't have super close girlfriends. I'm not sure why
-She is still the kindest person you will ever meet
-She tries to get in a workout every day for her mental health
-She doesn't know where she wants to go to college, but she's considering Southern Utah University in addition to BYU, Weber State, CU Boulder, and CSU
-She wants to be a mom when she grows up, but as a back up maybe becoming a school counselor, so she thinks she will pursue an elementary Ed degree and then get her master's in counseling
-She is still very shy and very quiet
