Senior Recital and MoPro

Audra had a senior recital organized by a woman in our ward, and then MoPro. It was quite the weekend!

There were roughly 40 people who attended! I was really surprised, but it was awesome to see so many people come out and support her, Emily, and Evan. It was a great recital! Pretty much everyone expected Audra to play trumpet and were shocked she was playing piano- including the woman who organized the recital! It was pretty funny.

Then....MoPro.
Her hair stylists were busy, so we decided to do her hair ourselves. I can't believe it, but it actually turned out really beautiful! I was very impressed with how we did and how it turned out.

Audra has her "friend" Nicholas. He is not religious, and they are already going to TRHS Prom, and I didn't want her going to both proms with him. She reached out to Nathan, who she met on HXP and who lives 2 hours away. She told him he could spend the night so he wouldn't have to drive home in the middle of the night, and he agreed.

So, as Ben puts it, we don't allow sleepovers unless it's a boy for prom.

Regardless, it was 100% worth it. They had an awesome time! He is used to having zero members around. He kept telling Audra she was so lucky to have so many friends who were members and had her same standards. He LOVED hanging out with this awesome group of kids, and these kids absolutely welcomed him in! They went back to Adaley's house after prom and were there until 1:30 AM. Audra was dying she was so tired (she NEVER stays up past 11, and is usually in bed by 9 PM), but he could have stayed longer.

He came to church with us on Sunday, and hung out with us all day Sunday before heading home.

He is a jazz pianist and we loved having him play the piano for us! I felt like we were living in La La Land. We all really like him. Too bad he's going to BYU Idaho next year.

Sigh.

And also, maybe Audra should go into modeling. Isn't she gorgeous?

Her dress is stunning! A woman in the stake was selling it for $20. Luckily, Audra fell in love with the dress! And, she didn't spill on it so she's wearing it again for TRHS prom.
