They are so big now, and now whine when the girls are outside playing and they aren't. They don't need the heat lamp now, either.
It is also a bit warmer now which helps. We have been taking them outside every day now, and they hate it when they have to go back in. The other day Charlotte ran into the bushes and would not come out! I got a stick to try and urge her out, but then she would jump over the stick to go back in! It took us 15 minutes and our neighbor coming over to finally catch her and get her back inside. She wasn't happy about it!
Tomorrow is the day that they will be moved to their new home. I think Camille will cry, but it is time. They simply need more room to move- being cooped up in their small cage is getting to them. They keep trying to think of ways to escape.
But, they will be missed.
Camille kept bringing every chick over to me for a picture. She loves these gals!
We had some friends come over to play with the chicks. Actually, we have had a lot of friends come over to play with the chicks. They are very popular!

It is crazy how fast they grow! Is Ben prepared for the next set? I am sure the girls are. :)
Ben is threatening divorce if I ever suggest chickens again, but all of us girls had a great time with them, and I miss them a little bit already.
Is it just me? I feel like adolescent chickens are super-ugly. Sorry, girlfriend. I'm glad you loved them, though.
Yeah, it's amazing how they start out so cute, and then aren't.
