Day 6: Afternoon

After lunch, we drove over to the Jamestown Settlement. This is not the actual location of the original settlement (that was down the street, but we didn't have time to do both). I chose this place, however, because it had replica ships that we could tour which I thought we would all enjoy- I was right!

The Powhatan Village was really neat. It was crazy to see the English trapped inside their village, scared to leave the confines of the fence, versus the Powhatan who could roam everywhere. Jamestown seemed AWFUL! Everybody just died, and for no real reason except to make a few men rich in England. Truly, it seemed horrible.

 Back to the awesome ships- replicated Susan Constant and her two smaller ships:

Everybody wanted to steer the ship! 

So much fun!

Then, we drove back to Michelle's house and played with cousins some more:
