Nature Sketch Co-Op
We had a nature sketch co-op to go up and color the aspen trees. It started raining on our drive up, and I almost thought about turning around. Thankfully, we did not! It started out very cold, but it turned out to be sunny and perfect.
While they did do sketching, they spent well over 2 hours building structures. It was fabulous! I really believe that playing in nature is just as important as memorizing multiplication facts. Kids need to be creative and explore! They came up with games to build these structures, and honestly could have stayed the whole day.
But, we did get some nature sketching in as well!
The girls had been getting grumpy about school. This was a much needed break. It was wonderful to get outside and into nature! We are so blessed to live so close to such beauty, and so blessed to homeschool so that when we need a nature break, we can take it.
