Closer To Normal

We initiated Ben on the kayaks today! It was so fun! Thankfully, we got there early because Chatfield was full by noon. But, we didn't even notice because on the water it just felt great. The girls all wanted to be together, which was fine by us. We took our kayak and went exploring a little bit. We saw herons and pelicans and beavers- it was so cool! We had a great time- and came home exhausted.

Afterwards we came home and showered. Then we headed to Southwest Plaza, which just barely opened. We have been waiting and waiting until it opened because the girls, especially Camille, has desperately needed shoes. We love this particular shoe store in the mall and I wanted to support them, so we waited until they were open to go.

Since we were there, we went to Ben's favorite restaurant- Rusty's Tacos. YUM!!!

There are some noticeable changes. We can't get our own drinks- they have to do it for us. Only 50% of the tables can be used, and they must be spaced out. We were lucky to get a table outside which was so lovely! Honest, there was a nice breeze and it felt so good!

Even though the mall asks people to wear masks, sadly only about 50% of the people were complying. Ben therefore felt really uncomfortable. It was disappointing to say the least to see so many people not complying with the malls' requests to help keep everyone safe. So, sadly, we won't be going back anytime soon. Which is too bad because we love a lot of their mom and pop stores inside the mall.
