Kayaks!

Our great pandemic purchase is kayaks! With summer coming and us having limited access to pools and all of our other typical summer activities, I knew we needed something that we could use in water. Chatfield Reservoir is only about 10 minutes from our house, so I also bought a state parks pass.

Today we finally put them to use. Admittedly, they are a bit of work to set up and deflate at the end. But, they really were a ton of fun! We had a blast!

After kayaking for a couple hours, we drove to an area that had a little beach. The swim beach is closed, but there is a picnic area that has a trail to a small beach area. It isn't perfect, but it worked. The kids were happy to have some sand to play in.
