Back in March Audra's class at Cloverleaf started working on Podcasts for an NPR Podcast Challenge. Audra told me she was going to be a part of this competition, and I was like, "Well, that's pretty cool, but don't expect much. There's probably a lot of people entering the competition."
So imagine all of our surprise when her teacher called at 8:30 PM two weeks ago to tell Audra that her podcast, one she made with two other girls, was a top 10 finalist of over 2,000 submissions! We couldn't believe it!
On Monday she was interviewed for Colorado Public Radio and it aired today. Even though they didn't win in the end, we are so proud of Audra and all of her hard work! She really did work incredibly hard! And, it is a pretty cool podcast- a cold case from 40 years ago that finally got solved- it's called 40 Years Cold.
To celebrate, we got together at a park. I got some OtterPops, and the kids socially distanced and chatted for a bit. It wasn't a big celebration, but I wanted to do something to celebrate.
Here Audra is with Dawson. Even though the whole class supposedly worked on it, really it was Audra, Dawson, and one other girls Shiona. Dawson even composed the song for the podcast.

This is SO awesome! Way to go Audra! I've been wanting to listen to her podcast that you shared on FB, but my list of things to listen to has suddenly become so long the last couple of weeks. So impressive!
