 Audra was inducted into the National Junior Honor Society! It's a pretty big honor, and she has worked incredibly hard to get here. She really is pretty much the best.

                                         

Broncos Pre-Season Game

We went with our friends the Burnhams and the Paynes to the Broncos pre-season game, and they won, 41-0. It was a lot of fun- a lot more fun than we expected. The atmosphere and stadium were excellent. The food was delicious. And the company was the BEST!

 

Grizzly 2 Mile

 Claire and I ran the Grizzly Run! Now that she's in Cross Country I guess is the type of thing we do now.

The Hike That Saved Me $3,000

 First world problem, but I need you all to feel sorry for me for just a tiny bit.

I decided to put my hat in the ring for Taylor Swift tickets in Indianapolis for November 2024. Yes, 2024. Miracle of miracles, I got a pre-sale code.

Unfortunately, I had planned a hike with my awesome MWEG Sisters during the time of the ticket sales. It had already been rescheduled once and I didn't want to change it again.

So, I enlisted my awesome sister to try to get our tickets. I gave her all the information, put my credit card in the TicketMaster app, everything was set.

And Stephanie signed in and got #2,315 in line! Woo-hoo! She picked our tickets. Section 300, all was well.

She went to purchase. Pushed "Pay." And then, our downfall. It required a verification code from our CC company- a number that they sent to MY phone, where I had zero cell coverage because I was on a hike.

She called both Ben and me 86-plus times. She sent dozens of texts. She tried everything. She was awesome. But still, nothing.

Tickets lost. No Taylor Swift concert for us.

So close, yet so far away.

Ben says even when Stephanie does everything right, he and I will somehow find a way to sabotage.

Sob.

First Day of School

 The oldest made sweet notes of encouragement for everyone.

The middle was invited to a friend's house to do hair and walk to the big, scary high school together.

The youngest made English Muffin bread for breakfast and cookies for the TBE staff to enjoy.

The 23-24 school year has officially begun.

#Benough

 I have been working 12 hour days up at our rental properties (two turnovers in 3 days: Zero stars. Do not recommend.) and our portable AC unit broke. I almost went and spent $400 on a new one, but instead I decided to channel my #innerBarbie and I tore it apart and was able to fix it! Turns out she was right, I really can do anything!

I told Ben that he should take me out to dinner to celebrate, but he told me, "No. You have me, and I'm Benough." And how could I argue with that?

(Ben actually didn't say that, but it would have been funny if he had. I need to get him a t-shirt.)
