Bear Lake: Day 3

 Day 3 was back at the beach! Somehow we ended up at the same mound (YAY!). The weather was PERFECT and it was an absolutely perfect day!

And just like that, the trip was over. It's always way too fast- three days simply isn't enough.

Bear Lake: Day 2

 Our second day at Bear Lake was a relaxing day away from the beach. Our girls wanted a  non-water day. We decided to go out to breakfast at an aebelskiver restaurant (YUM!) and then we went to the Adventure Park. It was a big hit! Though, admittedly, a bit crowded. It would have been better, I think, if we had gotten there right when it opened. It wasn't crazy, but on the ropes course it was a bit tricky with so many people.

We also went to the Pickleville Playhouse for the first time! I have always wanted to go, so I was pretty excited about this. We saw The Little Mermaid. It was very well done. I love that it's a guaranteed family friendly good time. It was awesome.

And then we broke with tradition for just a little bit and got burgers at Ephraim's (shock!) and then shakes at Le Beau's.

Bear Lake: Day 1

 Thankfully, the drive to Bear Lake was uneventful. As we came out of the mountains into the valley and saw the lake, it was a beautiful and welcome sight!

Our first day at Bear Lake was slightly chilly, with chilly winds, but still a great day.

We got to the lake early (9 AM) which meant we had our choice of spot. Claire picked out this "big mound" spot, and it was a huge hit! A lot of nearby kids came over, wanting to join in building the tower. It was pretty epic.

Izzy and Claire picked up right where they left off- they are great friends, and it is really fun to watch. They are very sweet together, and I wish they had more time together.

We get one day with Ben with us at the beach. He had fun on the paddle board, but didn't want to get wet.

Overall, a great day 1!

Shakespeare

 Not to make #muchadoaboutnothing, but I got to go on a date with this sweet human tonight. She really is something special, and not just because she enjoys Shakespeare with her mom. #coloradoshakespearefestival
