Art Show

Camille refused to let me take a picture of her, but her art was chosen to be on display at the DCSD art show! This is a big honor, and we are very proud of her. She loves art, and her ceramic sewing machine was absolutely beautiful. It was fun to go to the Legacy center and see her art on display.

Camille's Post

Today is the Super Bowl, and it already feels like the refs are on the Chiefs team. Favoritism! Everyone thinks they are cheating. If the Eagles lose I am literally going to crash out. Or stop caring. If they lose, I will just have to look at pictures of hamsters. These pics are for you, dad (if you ever read this). No one can resist their cuteness, and I can't wait two whole years to get another one! Anyway, back to the Super Bowl. Sorry that I sidetracked. Audra and dad are talking about pasta at the moment; yeah, the Marriott's are weird.  Just read what I'm writing, for instance. Yippeeeeeee, the refs actually called something on the Chiefs "unnecessary roughness".😋😋😛😜😝 I think my mom is going to kill me when she reads this.

Art

Camille made this at art class for Cloverleaf:

"I can't imagine my life without wolves, books, fruit, chocolate, orange chicken, flowers, summers, sports, teachers, family"

Camille drew this picture and I thought it was too precious not to share. It shows how your seeds grown when you have faith vs. not having faith. I love this girl!

Camille's Art

I love this- she really did enjoy soccer way more than I could have imagined:

"I want my friends to know that I go to soccer."

Camille's Writing

Admittedly, I am not the rock star kindie mom that all the other parents seem to be. Half the time I have no idea what is going on at her school, and I am totally OK with that. Over the summer I'll teach her to read, and that is fine with me. I don't need her to be writing novels at the age of 5.

But, I did think this was pretty cute. What would Camille do if she had a penguin as a pet: "I would play hide and seek."

So cute!

Kindie Thanksgiving

Today Camille had a little Thanksgiving party. Well, it really wasn't very Thanksgiving-y- no pilgrims or Indians, but there was food. I guess it was basically a chance to have the parents come in to see what the kids are up to. Camille was happy to show off the classroom to both Ben and me.

Here's a timeline she made about growing up. Which she is doing too quickly:

Camille's Art

It's been awhile since I've shown some of Camille's art, so here you go:
