Meow Wolf

For years we have wanted to go to Meow Wolf, and because the weather has been so warm (in the 70's), all "winter" type of activities were out, such as cross country skiing (which is what Ben wanted to do), so we decided to go to Meow Wolf. It is a trip! We didn't know what to expect, but this wasn't it. We are all glad we went.

Ice- Skating!

Once a year we go ice-skating. Normally, we go to an outside place, but it has been incredibly warm, and we find the outdoor rinks very crowded, so we decided to go to The Edge instead. This is where Ben and I met (well, technically, we met once before but I don't really remember it).

Audra glides along beautifully- she's a natural. The rest of us, not so much. I took one pretty hard fall, but nobody else did, which is good.

Pop-Tarts Bowl

Turns out, Audra is the winner of the battle of whether or not to go to the Pop Tarts Bowl to watch her march. It turned into a mess- where instead of flying her from Denver, they were going to make her fly to Provo on Christmas Day, then Orlando, back to Provo, then to Denver. And, she's moving dorms, so she doesn't have a bed or food in Provo right now. So it was turning into a disaster trip. She was thrilled when BYU decided to only send band members who live within a 3 hour drive of Provo so she got out of it. But she is jealous the band got to march at SeaWorld yesterday and they got a cute little Pop Tarts pin.

(BYU came from behind and won the game)

Christmas!

-Audra put in her mission papers last Sunday. I was at Deseret Book and saw a missionary necklace of the world with a saying, "And off she went to change the world" and had to buy it. I cried when I saw it, cried when she opened it, and am crying now thinking about it. But this girl...she's matured a lot in her few months at college. Instead of being scared and anxious, she is confident and...brilliant. Simply brilliant. She's ready.

-Claire got a Spider-man poster and carry on luggage, which she is VERY excited about
-Camille finally got a decent phone, so now she can make calls/texts when she's not at home. She is thrilled

-Audra got some Converse, sweaters, books, and the necklace mentioned above. Camille also was super sweet and put together a "sister scrapbook" for her with lots of sister pictures and stories in it
-I am stocked up on reading material for the next year and Camille made me a Disney poster with pictures from our last Disney trip

-I got Ben the Pirate's shirt he wanted for the next time we go to Disney
-Traditional aebelskivers for Christmas breakfast to honor our Swedish heritage

It was 70 degrees again so we went on another walk. Then went to Mac and Ann's for a wonderful evening with delicious food, wonderful family visit, and just a perfect ending to a perfect day.
