We were very excited to go up to Anderson Farms today! I will be so sad when the girls outgrow this tradition. This year Ben's family joined us which was nice- the girls enjoyed having their cousins with them!
And, we went to dinner at Panera Bread where Camille was just too cute:

Cloverbud Graduation
Claire got to graduate from Cloverbud in 4H last night. It was a very LONG awards ceremony, so we ended up leaving early. Still, I was glad we went so Claire could go up on stage and get her award. They asked her what her favorite part of 4H was and she said, "It's fun and we do a lot of fun things."

#VegasStrong
Serendipity allowed for a couple of friends and me to fly to Vegas for a quick 2 1/2 day getaway. The timing wasn't perfect because of the shooting last weekend, and one of my friends wanted to back out, but I don't believe in letting terrorists win, so in the end we decided to go for it.
I'm so glad we did!
It was fabulous.
We stayed at the Excalibur, which I ended up loving. I really think my girls would love it, so when Ben and I go back with the girls (at some point we want to fly to Vegas for a day, then drive down to the Grand Canyon), I'm going to push for us to stay here. It has a really nice pool with a small, but decent, slide that the girls would love. Plus, it's a castle. Who wouldn't love that?
We thoroughly enjoyed the spa. That was one thing we all decided we wanted to do: a spa day! Massage, sauna, jacuzzi tub...it was very nice, and very needed!
Cirque du Soleil was at the Bellagio, where they had quite a few fun pieces of artwork around the lobby:
And, of course, we put in well over 20,000 steps a day walking around Vegas enjoying the opulence:
It was a little hard to come home, even though of course I was glad to see my girls and Ben. But, man, traveling without kids was a whole new experience! It was wonderful to not need to constantly count children! It was nice to stay up late talking to dear friends. Karen moved to Utah last year, so it was really nice to catch up with her.
So, who else is ready for a trip???

We crossed a couple of things off my bucket list: shows of Cirque du Soleil and The Blue Man Group. They were very different, but both so much fun!
Ben didn't believe me, but this actually is one of The Blue Men:
One of Joanne's bucket items was to go to the Chandelier Bar. I nursed a Diet Coke while she had something fancy the bartender whipped up for her. If you notice, I am very much under dressed while my friends look fabulous. What can I say- I like to pack light. I didn't even think about bringing nice clothes. I guess I really am a Mom!

Fairy Tale Ball
Our library is so great! Truly, we are incredibly blessed to have such a fabulous library so close to us.
Once again they did a Fairy Tale Ball, so while I was staying at a castle in Las Vegas, Prince Ben took our Princesses to the library ball, where the Princesses had the time of their lives:
I love that even though Audra is a bit older, she still loves dressing up and being a princess.
They got to write their wish on paper, put it in the wishing well, and then magic took the wish away to make it come true:
