Family In Town!

In order to see Audra in Grease, my mom, sister, and niece came out to visit. It was a very short visit, but it was wonderful. We played lots of games, went to Clement Park and saw the Columbine Memorial, watched Claire and Camille play soccer, and of course the play.

Oh, yeah, and celebrated Easter!

But this post is just about the games and Clement Park.

Wolf Presentation

Camille gave a Wolf Presentation for 4H. She was brilliant! She was very confident, did a lot of research, and was very prepared. I was very proud of her.

Achievement Days

This year we bit the bullet and signed the girls up for real piano lessons. The improvement in their playing is remarkable! It has been wonderful to watch their growth.

They participated in "Achievement Days" which meant that they had to make a project related to music, memorize some songs and scales, and be judged by a judge. They were all very nervous, and all did wonderful.

GREASE!

Back in January, Audra auditioned for the school musical. This was stepping out of her comfort zone, and we are so proud of her. We got her some singing lessons to help her feel more comfortable. She has put in hundreds of hours of work.

There were 7 performances. I was in charge of doing her hair and make-up, which was a little scary but I think I did a pretty decent job.

She was in the ensemble. No speaking parts, but lots of singing and dancing. She loves the music!

PayDay:

"She would like to thank her mom for driving her to all of the rehearsals."

Sloth

Maybe way too creepy, but Camille finished the sloth head for the stuffed animal she is making. Yes, it's creepy. But also cute and funny. I sure love this girl!

April Fool's!

Nobody, especially Ben, liked my April Fool's joke of a donut bag filled with rocks, but I sure thought it was funny.

Sader Dinner

I think we have skipped doing our Sader dinner the last couple of years because of Covid and a complete lack of energy, but this year we brought it back.

It took on extra meaning this year as we are currently studying the OT and the Passover. A Jewish friend of mine made fun of me for doing it two weeks before actual Passover, but it fit in with CFM so we went with it.

It was the first time I got lamb. We all decided we aren't fans, at least of this particular cut- which was the only cut they sold at KS. It was really fatty, so not our favorite.

We had a script to read and it was really quite lovely.
