Yellowstone #1

On Wednesday we woke up at 5:30 to make the hour long drive to Yellowstone. Day #1 saw all the big highlights: mud pots at West Thumb, Grand Prismatic Pool, Old Faithful, buffalo, waterfalls (though not the Upper and Lower Falls), elk, and so much more!

Don't jump in! Claire does, however, want to go scuba diving in these pots.

We hiked up to get an overview of Grand Prism. While there, we saw someone propose to his girlfriend! She said yes! What a beautiful place to propose, but the girls and I all decided it wouldn't be cool to be proposed to in front of so many people.

We just got lucky that White Dome Geyser was spraying while we drove by, but we quickly stopped and ran into the spray and got soaked! I think this was the favorite part of the trip for the girls- it was pretty fun!

Camille LOVED having her picture taken!

The first night we stayed at cabins on Yellowstone Lake. The next night we stayed at Mammoth Hot Springs.

Grand Teton #2

Day 2 was a visit to Mormon Row (a homestead established in the 1800s), a hike at Taggart Lake and then a tram ride up a neighboring mountain. The girls also loved playing a bunch of games that grandma brought. It was another great game!

Isn't this view amazing? It is almost tempting to move here!

Hike to Taggart Lake:

That isn't a real moose. It's a nature trail at one of the resorts.

Downtown Jackson Hole:

Some Idaho Spuds from Grandma and Grandpa! These girls aren't spoiled at all.
