College Tour Day 4

We started the day with a great tour of University of Utah. Claire seemed to really like this campus. We learned  a lot about their nursing program, and it seems like it would be a really good fit for Claire.

She made good friends with a girl, Molly, from Virginia who was also there touring and going into nursing.

They won for tours because they gave us free ice-cream!

We won't turn down free ice-cream!

After the ice-cream, we headed to Ogden to tour Weber State. After stopping at the French bakers for lunch:

The Marriott building!

By now, Claire was so excited for me to take more pictures

Weber is a beautiful campus, but similar to SGU probably a bit too small for her to consider. WHich is too bad because she could basically go for free with all the scholarships she could get.

On the way down to SLC for our final hotel, we stopped by Grandpa Marriott's house which is currently for sale.

Then grabbed some Swig's, because, well, when in Utah...

The trip was 3,154 miles by air. 862 miles by car. 5 nights, 5 different hotels. 2 coasts (basically). 3 time zones. 5 universities. And 1 overarching thought:
I am too old for this.

Overall, though, it was a good trip and we learned a lot. Claire was able to narrow down her choices- BYU, UGA, or UofU. Those are three great options. So now we wait for acceptance letters and scholarships.
