I hosted a great co-op today at Staunton State Park. I was so excited for this co-op, more so than any I have ever hosted. But, unfortunately, only 7 kids came- including mine. I was a bit disappointed, admittedly, but the co-op was nevertheless wonderful. A naturalist taught the kids about bugs- how they decompose trees, bones, plants, etc. into soil, and then we walked down to the pond and the kids got to catch bugs in the water. Then, they got to make bugs. It was really neat- I was glad that the kiddos got to participate and learn about nature. Nature is really awesome!
